The Art of the Samurai in the Heart of Prague

The Samurai Art Gallery became a key partner of the prestigious exhibition “Japan of the Samurai,” which brought the Clam-Gallas Palace to life in early 2025. As the curator of this exhibition, I had the honor of working closely on the selection of unique loaned works that formed the backbone of the entire exhibition. The grand opening was presided over by H.E. Nagaoka, the Japanese Ambassador, together with the Mayor of Prague, Bohuslav Svoboda.

The Czech Samurai on the Secrets of Japanese Warriors

As part of the “Czech Samurai” series in Reflex magazine, we joined forces with Martin Bartkovský to delve into the fascinating world of ancient Japan. Through a series of interviews, we gradually uncover not only the history and art of warfare, but also the deeper cultural aspects and philosophy that shaped the lives of the samurai of that era. This prestigious award for outstanding contributions and a lifetime of dedication to the world of martial arts marks the culmination of a long journey for me and serves as motivation for the years ahead. I would like to thank everyone who has accompanied and supported me on this journey toward remarkable achievements in the realm of bushido.
